Michelangelo full name is Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni. He was an Italian painter, sculptor and poet. Michelangelo is considered one of the earliest artists of the Italian High Renaissance. The Creation of Adam is a frequently reproduced detail from the ceiling fresco in the Sistine Chapel in Rome. It belongs to a cycle of nine individual frescoes. The painting of the Creation of Adam depicts God stretching out his finger to give life to Adam.
