Returns Policy
Damages & Faults
If you receive your delivery and an item is damaged or faulty, please contact us at sales@thetable.co.nz within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damaged items. All orders sent are carefully packaged to ensure breakages are kept to the minimum. We will replace items damaged in transit at no cost to you; provided you supply photos to us within 7 days of receiving your parcel.
Returns
While we hope you love each of your purchases from our store, we understand that at times returns are needed. If you need to return an item, you may return it to our Jackson Street store within 7 days of your purchase for a store credit equal to the purchase price or a full refund deducting the freight cost. Please see exclusions below.
All returned items must be in their original, unused condition with the original packaging and in ‘as new’ resalable condition. If the item has been used or does not have the original packaging then we will be unable to accept the return. The cost of shipping for the return is the responsibility of the customer.
Refund & Returns Exclusions:
There are some items and situations which are not included within our returns policy.
Please see the return exemptions below:
- If the item is an electrical appliance, or has moving parts
- If the item is ordered in as a special order for a customer, and is an item we don’t usually keep on hand as it only sells semi-regularly.
- If the item has been purchased on promotion we will address the return on a case by case basis
- If you change your mind we will issue a store credit to equal value of the item purchased
If the item purchased is faulty and has a warranty guarantee we will need to assess the fault with the manufacturer, and work with the manufacturer to decide upon the best course of action. Please read through the care instructions to ensure the terms of the warranty have been met.
Exchange Policy
We accept exchanges for goods purchased from our website within 30 days of your purchase. Please email us on sales@thetable.co.nz so we can give approval for the exchange. You may then select anything from our product range online for the exchange. If the value of the exchange is less than the original purchase amount, then the difference will be given to you as a store credit which will be valid for 12 months. The cost of shipping for both the return and exchange will be the responsibility of the customer. If the exchange amount is more than the original purchase, the difference will need to be paid in full before the exchanged item is collected or dispatched to you.
To accept an exchange, the originally purchased item will need to be returned to us in unused, original condition, and in its original packaging. The returned item must be in ‘as new’, saleable condition.
Please note, that the customer is responsible for the cost of returning goods to us.
When returning the original item to us, please ensure it is well packaged for a safe journey back to our store. We are not responsible for items that are damaged in the process of returning for an exchange.
For all approved exchanges and returns, please ensure:
- That the return/exchange is completed within the above timeframes
- That the item being returned is in its original packaging, in unused, ‘as new’ saleable condition.
- That you provide proof of purchase
